Shayne Jones, owner

Midwest Bird Shows is a family business that started with my grandfather in 1995. I took over in 2022 from my uncles family as they were looking to start their next adventure. I came to the Bird Shows when I was young, I remember running around with my sisters looking at all the birds and we even ended up getting our own at one point. My very first birds were cockatiels that I named Liz and Jeff. My family eventually got an Umbrella Cockatoo named Baby that was definitely a handful. I enjoyed having birds in my life but never expected to be running the Bird Shows. This has been quite an adventure so far and and one that I do not regret. I have big visions for Midwest Bird Shows and I hope that you follow along on the journey! If you want to know more about me, stop by one of our shows and lets chat!

Grandpa Frank’s Legacy

Frank Craft of Tinley Park, Illinois, founded Midwest Shows in 1995. As a young man, he ran baseball and basketball card shows but found his calling with bird shows years later after experimenting with various different shows. He was joined in this adventure with his wife, Patricia Craft.

In 2004, Frank was diagnosed with cancer and passed on December 31st, 2006. Patricia kept the shows running with the help of the family, and sold the business to her daughter-in-law.
